Dr. Yaad Shergill is a Doctor of Chiropractic, graduating from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Shergill has taught at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and has completed a two-year post-graduate residency in Clinical Sciences. Prior to her postgraduate work, she graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience.
Dr. Shergill is a diversified practitioner that utilizes various techniques to optimize the functioning of your body. Her treatment plans are personalized to you, your health conditions and comfort level. Dr. Shergill is a certified acupuncture, Graston, A.R.T. provider and personal trainer and uses techniques that range from low force, table assisted and gentle manual style. Dr. Shergill blends chiropractic care with therapeutic exercises to help you reach your health goals.
Dr. Shergill is a Clinical Research Associate in the department of Anesthesiology at The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, where she is part of a multi-disciplinary team investigating chronic pain. She has published research in the field of chronic pain, mindfulness, and visual neuroscience.
Dr. Shergill has always had a passion for health, prevention of illness and research. In her spare time Dr. Shergill can be found hiking the hills with her dog, Raider, sweating it out in yoga, at a Crossfit gym working on her lifting techniques, or punching a bag. Fun fact - Dr. Shergill is a Certified Animal Chiropractor and can treat your dog, horse and cat! It is her mission to inspire and educate her patients and their families towards better health.
