Sports Nutrition Counselling

The human body has different nutritional requirements when it is under the physical stress of exercise. Nutrient requirements can differ tremendously in an athletic individual compared to one who does not exercise regularly. In sports nutrition, food is fuel to help you through the sport/exercise. Fueling the body before, during, and after exercise can help to enhance performance, improve recovery, and prevent injury. Sports nutrition counselling will provide insight on pre-workout/game meals and post-workout/game recovery meals, as well as determine whether fueling during exercise is required for your specific case.

Sports Nutrition Counselling is best for:

  • Those engaging in an intense fitness regimen at least 3-4x/week
  • Endurance athletes (marathon running, triathlons)
  • Power-focused athletes (Olympic power-lifting, cross-fit, boxing)
  • Sport-specific athletes requiring help with pre/during/post-game fuel (soccer, basketball, tennis, hockey)
